Punters are People Too - Week 9

Winnipeg's Justin Medlock continues to lead in the Week 9 rankings. On a per punt basis he is a tiny fraction behind Hugh O'Neill, whose Week 8 performance rocketed him up the table.

Rough week for Calgary Rob Maver--two punts returned for TDs--in the year of...whatever the hell is going on.

Punts of the Week: Ottawa's Richie Leone liquified a ball against Edmonton. From his own 4 it went 64 yards, and netted 51. Considering the value of field position and net result, that was the most-valuable punt this week.

Hamilton's Lirim Hajrullahu vs. BC. From his own 11, Hajrullahu booted a 51 yarder and BC took a 10-yard holding penalty. The result was 24.6 yards better than expected--the highest of the week.
