The Betting Perspective - CGY @ BC

Calgary (-1.5) @ BC: 46

The Friday Night Doubleheader finishes in Vancouver, as the Lions play host to the Calgary Stampeders.

The Stamps march into this game, fresh off a bye week, now looking to somehow win their last two games of the season and have the Riders lose both of the remaining games on the schedule. That scenario would see the West Semi-Final in Calgary, with the Stamps welcoming Saskatchewan to town. Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell still has an awful touchdown (7) to interception (13) ratio but is finding his rhythm again. Mitchell hit on 22 of his 29 attempts two weeks ago against Ottawa with no passing scores but also no interceptions, it was only the second time this season the Stamps veteran did not turned the ball over.

The BC Lions are looking ahead to the 2022 season after their defeat in Hamilton last week, Michael Reilly is adamant his team won't quit these last two games but the Lions play on the field doesn't give much hope. Bc have lost six games in a row and haven't won a home date since September 11th. Lucky Whitehead's return to the lineup a couple of weeks ago has definitely added some offensive punch back to the offense, Whitehead recorded nine catches for 98 yards in Hamilton.

The betting line in this game seems small, considering the long losing streak for the Lions and the importance of getting some confidence before the playoffs for the Stamps. We've seen some line movement on the Lions side after Calgary opened as 2.5 favorites.

The play here is with the better team, Calgary have won three games in a row on the road.

Expect their fine away form to continue against a team playing for nothing.

Pick: Calgary -1.5
