Calgary @ Winnipeg (-7): TOTAL 44.5

Week 4 of the Canadian Football Season concludes in Winnipeg as the Blue Bombers host the Jake Maier led Calgary Stampeders.
The Stamps grabbed their first win last week at home over the Alouettes. New starting quarterback Jake Maier looked shaky early in his first career CFL start, but turned it around finishing with 304 passing yards. On the injury front for the Stamps, defensive end Shawn Lemon is back in the lineup after missing some time. Calgary running back Kadeem Carey is coming off his best performance in three games this season, Carey found the endzone twice against Montreal. Maier did show promise last Friday as the game moved along but going against one the best defenses in the league Sunday will be a much taller task.
The home Blue Bombers fell to to the Argonauts on the road last week, Winnipeg were seemingly chasing Toronto the whole game after an awful first quarter. Zach Collaros and the Bombers offense failed to record a first down in the game until half way through the second quarter. Winnipeg will get a huge injection back into their offense versus the Stampeders, 2019 Grey Cup MOP running back Andrew Harris slots into the lineup for the first time in 2021. As for the Bombers defense, we've seen some minor cracks so far this season, they've given up 100 yards rushing to an opposing back in each of their last two games.
The betting line for this Bombers, Stampeders matchup has risen from Winnipeg -5 to now the home side laying a full touchdown. Calgary will definitely have to run the football to be effective Sunday and Kadeem Carey might be able to replicate the production of Argos running backs John White and DJ Foster. The key to Jake Maier's success in this game will depend on the protection in front of him and slowing down the likes of WIllie Jefferson and Jackson Jeffcoat. The Stamps have only allowed 4 sacks through three games and Winnipeg have only tallied 6 sacks on their end, half of those coming Week 1 against an awful Ticats offensive line.
Go against public opinion and take the road dogs getting a full touchdown.
Pick: Calgary +7
