Edmonton @ Calgary (-6): TOTAL 42.5

Labour Day Weekend concludes Monday in Calgary as the Stampeders welcome their provincial rivals Edmonton Elks.
For the green and gold, they haven't played since August 19th, when the Elks downed the BC Lions in Vancouver. It was a much needed win for Jaime Elizondo's group after starting the season with two straight defeats. Trevor Harris will need a repeat performance for a few weeks ago, the Elks quarterback chucked almost 300 yards, a touchdown and an interception in that win. Edmonton's defense has done it's job, they rank first in passing yards against and second in rushing yards against through three games.
On the other side, life for the Stampeders without quarterback Bo Levi-Mitchell is going pretty well, rookie Jake Maier almost led Calgary to another victory last week in Winnipeg. Stamps kicker Rene Paredes came up just short on a 52-yard field goal attempt as time expired, punctuating an 18-16 Bombers win. Calgary activated Bo-Levi Mitchell from the 6-game injured list and he returned to practice Thursday. We shouldn't expect Mitchell to be on the field Monday versus the Elks but the move should signify he is close. The Stampeders defense ranks last in the CFL in sacks and if the struggles upfront continue, Trevor Harris and the plethora of Elks receivers might be due for another huge day.
The betting line for this battle of Alberta has been one way traffic in terms of action, the Stamps have moved from field goal favorites to -6.
Calgary have won three meetings in a row against Edmonton, but are a dismal 1-10 against the spread in their last 11 games as a home favorite. The plan should be clear for this one, wait out this line because it might continue to climb, Calgary still have a backup quarterback and something appeared to change last time out for Edmonton's offense.
Ride the Elks +6.
