The Betting Perspective - EDM @ SSK

Edmonton @ Saskatchewan (-10.5): TOTAL 44

The final game of Week 15 kicks off Saturday night in the prairies, as the Riders host the Elks.

Saskatchewan can ensure that the West-semi against the Stampeders will take place in Regina with a victory over Edmonton. These two teams played each other just a week ago, with the Riders edging the Elks 19-17 at Commonwealth.

Edmonton put up a good fight against Saskatchewan last week but ended up losing their seventh straight game, the Elks are also 0-6 with quarterback Taylor Cornelius at the helm. And Edmonton are just counting down the days until the end of the season as the focus has switched to the road forward for head coach Jaime Elizondo and general manager Brock Sunderland.

As for the Riders, quarterback Cody Fajardo attempts to find some chemistry with new weapon Duke Williams, the two have connected nine times for 139 yards in three games this season. Fajardo still has a suspect touchdown (11) to interception (10) ratio and still needs to find any rhythm at all before the playoffs. Another big issue for the Riders coming down the stretch has been the protection issues upfront, their offensive line have given up nine sacks in the last two weeks and 34 this season, tied for the second most in 2021.

The Riders are double-digit favorites for only the second time this year, Saskatchewan covered as 10-point favorites early in the season against the Redblacks.

Edmonton had their chance to break the streak last week, when the Riders struggled offensively. Coming home, Craig Dickenson's team will have a better showing.

This one could get ugly, take the Riders -10.5.

Pick: Saskacthewan -10.5
