The Betting Perspective - OTT @ MTL
Ottawa @ Montreal (-13): TOTAL 44.5

Outside of the weird Tuesday night matchup between the Argos and Elks; the final week of the CFL season gets underway Friday, as the Alouettes host the Ottawa Redblacks.
The Als will play the Ticats next week in the East Semi, but the location of that matchup is still unknown. Montreal currently sit behind Hamilton in the standings, so the Als need a win over Ottawa and a Ticats loss against the Riders to secure a home date next week.
The Redblacks limp into action looking forward to ending the season, Ottawa are 2-11 this year and have only beat the Edmonton Elks in 2021. Head Coach Paul LaPolice will definitely continue his evaluation of the Redblacks quarterback picture in the offseason. Both Caleb Evans and Duck Hodges have done very little to give the fanbase a sense of optimism moving forward, the two have combined for just two touchdown passes and 10 interceptions in the last six games.
For the Alouettes, things looked bleak after a season-ending injury to Vernon Adams Jr, but Trevor Harris might have given the Als a second chance. Harris threw for three touchdowns last week in a win over Winnipeg, bringing his season total to 12 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Montreal leads the CFL in sacks this year with 45 while the Redblacks have given up 49 sacks in 2021, it could be a very long day for Ottawa quarterbacks.
The betting line for this game currently sits at -13 for the home side and it's no surprise, considering the circumstances. The Als have a newfound confidence with Harris at the helm, and Montreal can book that home playoff date, for at least one day until Hamilton takes the field.
