The Betting Perspective - TOR @ HAM
Toronto @ Hamilton (-4.5): TOTAL 43.5
The Thanksgiving Weekend card concludes in Hamilton with another edition of the QEW rivalry, as the Toronto Argonauts head into Hamilton to face the Tiger-Cats.
This game will be the third meeting between these two clubs in 2021. The Tiger-Cats beat the Argos on Labour Day, but fell a week later in Toronto thanks to quarterback Dane Evans leaving the contest with injury and a missed extra-point late that cemented a boatmen win.
The Argonauts beat the Redblacks Wednesday night at BMO Field, featuring two touchdowns via interception returns off Ottawa quarterback Caleb Evans. McLeod Bethel-Thompson did enough in the game versus Ottawa, but it was clearly Toronto's defense that go the job done. The Argos quarterback only threw for 181 yards on 15 of 21 passing and whoever lines up behind center on Monday, will need to improve on the lackluster passing performance Toronto put up the last time they visited Tim Horton's Field.
On the other side, the Ticats fell apart last week and ended up losing to the Montreal Alouettes in overtime 23-20. The offense, is without a doubt the problem with the reigning East Division Champions, quarterback Jeremiah Masoli is 0-3 this season and the Ticats rank dead last in the passing game. As for the Ticats defense, they're going to have to continue their stellar play in order to beat the Argos, Hamilton have held Toronto to under 20 points in both contest this year.
The betting line for this game currently sits at Hamilton -4.5 and it solely might be because of Toronto's awful record in Hamilton. The Argos have won only once on the road in this matchup since 2013, a span of 13 games.
This might be an opportunity for the Argos to jump on their highway nemesis, the Ticats offense hasn't been great in the two games this year against Toronto and Jeremiah Masoli might be playing for his job.
Starting quarterback Dane Evans needs to return for the Ticats to be successful over the home stretch, until then, Masoli must improve to just hang onto backup duties over David Watford, who is 2-0 this season.
Let's ride with the double-blue, getting points against a suspect Hamilton team.
Pick: Toronto +4.5
