The Betting Perspective - WPG @ CGY

Winnipeg (-4) @ Calgary: TOTAL 41.5

In the final game of the 2021 regular season, undoubtedly the best team in the league Winnipeg travels to Calgary to battle the Stampeders.

Winnipeg saw their nine game winning streak come to an end last week versus the Alouettes, thanks to backup quarterback Sean McGuire chucking four interceptions.

The Bombers return Zach Collaros to the lineup, but it might be short-lived, the contest means nothing to either side so it's hard to imagine to the MOP front-runner staying in the game beyond the first quarter. These two teams faced each other back in Week 4, the Bombers squeaked out a win over rookie quarterback Jake Maier and the Stamps.

The Stampeders will likely keep Bo Levi Mitchell on the sideline for most of the game and also start rookie running back Roc Thomas in the backfield. It's no surprise that Ka'Deem Carey is sitting this one out, he's rushed for a touchdown in three straight games and is integral to Calgary's offense.

The betting line in this game has stayed relatively still, because the circumstances of this contest hasn't changed. Winnipeg will host the West Final and Calgary goes to Regina next week for the West semi, so it doesn't need to be said, any play this week in the CFL should be minimal.

Let's take the home side in this one, because we trust the depth of the quarterback position on the Stamps side more than the Bombers.

In a matchup of Jake Maier versus Sean McGuire and Dru Brown, let's ride the horses. On home field.

Pick: Calgary +4
